FLORAL DESIGN

Here at Meadow Wood Farms we are committed to minimizing the carbon footprint that weddings create. We believe that gorgeous, luxurious, and unique florals can be created using only in season and locally grown flowers. Instead of shipping flowers from South American, Europe, or Africa we work with brides to identify flowers that are grown on our farm that match their vision perfectly.

Our design vision is more maximalist than minimalist. We believe in elevating your wedding with copious blooms, enveloping you and your guests in a veritable wonderland of beauty. We love turning our brides, ceremony spaces, and reception spaces into visuals that could be taken right from a Vermeer painting.

WHOLESALE FLOWERS

We grow an acre of cut flowers with over 100 different varieties of flowers, greenery, and grasses on our sustainable farm. I am especially proud of my tulips, dahlias, sunflowers, and celosia. Our flowers are available to purchase through the River City Flower Exchange in Scotts Addition, Richmond. RCFE is a growers collective of 13 growers local to Central Virginia. We are cooperatively owned and are committed to growing a local flower economy that benefits the environment, the farmers, and flower lovers across the Richmond area and beyond.
I love working with local florists who understand how important and regenerative locally sourced flowers are. Over the past few years I have worked with incredible designers at Blakemore's Flowers in Harrisonburg, Honey Bee's Florist in Staunton, Fiori Floral in Charlottesville, Blue Ridge Floral Design in Nelson County, Blue Heron Flower Farm in Nelson, and Everbloom in Charlottesville.
